The Cranberry Lake Art Show

The Cranberry Lake Art Show has rolled around again!

I Haven't done a trout in a while...

Kiyoshi Nakagawa, a New Zealand guide and photographer, 

has once again graciously allowed me use one of his stunning photos as reference.

There are times

While the latest big barn is on the wall to let the paint set up a bit, 

I started a new one. 

If you're familiar with my work, you might recognize these beautiful

Vermont cows. They've been the subjects of two other paintings I've done, and I thought it fitting to

portray them in black and white.

I guess being so familiar with them, this one just kind of flew from my brushes without much thought.

It's so cool when that happens.

 So here's "Vermont Bovines" in various stages of completion, but

not quite finished.
