"Not in my backyard" usually means it's in someone else's...

If U.S. rejects Keystone XL pipeline, Canadian oil giant could transport crude oil to Gulf Coast via St. Lawrence Seaway.

"Environmental groups on the U.S. and Canadian sides of the border are keeping an eye on the massive Keystone XL oil pipeline planned from western Canada to the Gulf Coast of Texas: If it is not approved by the U.S. government, the Canadian oil giant that crafted the proposal could decide instead to ship its crude oil east through the St. Lawrence Seaway with ocean freighters, looping around the East Coast to get to Gulf Coast refineries."

The 2013 Santa fly (Clauser variant)

M 1/0 Mustad stainless steel hook
Red & white thread
Beard - spun deer hair & white schlappen feather
Face - Fur and Glass beads
Hat trim - Twisted white marabou
Hat - Shaped red chicken feather

The Legend of the Santa Fly

Tied on a stainless steel hook, so as not to tarnish Santa's reputation,
the Santa fly is effective just once each year.
During a particularly miraculous time of the season,
it attracts only young, innocent, wide eyed fry and fingerlings.
Eventually as the fish mature, the magic of the pattern is lost,
but fond memories of the Santa fly remain forever.
